Choices (Charnwood Arts)
Since it began in 1999, the 9 girls involved in the 'Choices' project have developed as drug information peer educators and trained in skills such as video, writing, design, photography, and drama through Charnwood Arts.
The project centres on the choices that young people and parents have to make around drugs and their relationships with each other. Alongside the video a range of posters and booklet will be produced, the booklet providing practical examples of how to work with issues raised and stimulate further discussion.
The project, funded through the M-Power scheme, has resulted in an end product of high quality. This 18 month long project was conducted in partnership with Leicestershire County Council Drug Strategy Unit.
