6th EMARAN Conference

EMARAN is the East Midlands Arts in Rural Area Network and if you are an artist, administrator or strategist working in rural arts in this region then EMARAN is for YOU. We are building a thriving network that will keep you informed about current issues and challenges facing the rural arts sector, and showcase its richness and diversity.

The 6th EMARAN conference is now announced:

"Rural Arts: The Power to Change"

The Conference is on Monday 30th November at the Level Centre, Rowlsey, Matlock. Keynote speaker John Fox - (the man who started Welfare State International and is a printmaker, poet, author, artist, theatre director, occasional musician, lecturer and cultural provocateur) The Conference also includes a presentation from acclaimed artist John Newling, an inside look at the Level Centre by First Movement's Peter Shelton plus rural arts case studies from across the region. There will also be a chance to do some 'speed networking' to meet new colleagues and ask the questions in a special "Any Questions" panel session.
