Are you an MC, Spoken Word Artist, Street Poet or Creative Writer?

Join the FREE workshop and open mic at 2Funky Records! We are opening the doors to performers for one day only to perform live in the 2Funky Records shop. Come and work with a professional street poet and MC to develop your work ready for the open mic.

The ILUVLYRICS Open Mic is exactly what it says on the tin but with a workshop twist. A leading Urban performance poet will lead a 2 hour workshop preparing you for the 2 hour Open Mic held inside the 2Funky Record shop and around the streets of Leicester City.

Drawing inspiration from current and classic Urban books and magazines the Urban Slam will be an improvised snapshot of urban literature and a way to make your voices and views heard.

When and Where:

Urban Slam Open Mic is on Saturday 9^th October: workshop 2-4pm, open mic 4-6pm. Sign up is at 3.30pm for the open mic, priority will be given to workshop attendees. Join in at 2Funky Arts' Base (2Funky Records,) 62 Belgrave Gate, Leicester, LE1 3GQ.
