Workshop details

Dance
Join Moving Together Dance Company in their quick 45 minute practical workshop demonstration, including example activities that can be used across a number of Arts Award levels. The session will highlight tasks used for children aged 5-11, and more extensive dance ideas that can be replicated for young people studying towards their Bronze, Silver or Gold Arts Awards. Be prepared to get active and get creative!

Photography
Learn some basic techniques to boost your skills in taking great photographs, including use of different cameras and equipment, and tips for composing a fantastic image. We will also look at how to use photography skills as a tool for documentation of your Arts Award activities in order to best communicate to moderators how you and your young people have engaged in the project.

Story Telling
Mashi Theatre invites you to immerse yourself in a 45 minute story telling workshop. Together we will use a range of practical drama techniques and simple methods to bring stories to life. The session will focus around the Discover and Explore Award leaving you well equipped and enthused to deliver sessions in your own settings. Be ready to play!

Visual Art
This workshop will allow you to put yourself into a young person’s shoes through accepting a (mini) challenge - to produce a piece of Arts Award evidence for a virtual portfolio exploring colour, texture and shape. The session will give you the opportunity to think outside the box (or folder) and to provide you with something that you can repeat with a small group as an adviser when back in your setting, including plenty of tips, ideas and suggestions on Bronze and Silver Arts Awards.
