The Arts Council England have announced the Bridge Delivery Organisation they have offered funding to for period of 2012 to 2015. It is stated on the ACE website that "Bridge delivery organisations will provide a direct connection between the work produced by arts organisations and schools and communities". The following is taken directly from the ACE Press release (full version of which can be found at: http://press.artscouncil.org.uk/content/Detail.aspx?ReleaseID=1201&NewsAreaID=2 Targeting work with children and young people £10.5 million Lottery a year will be allocated through the National portfolio to a group of ‘Bridge’ delivery organisations, who will provide a direct connection between the work produced by arts organisations and schools and communities in their area – a gap left by the winding up of the £38 million Creative Partnerships scheme. This is work that is also particularly vulnerable at a time of public sector cuts. Some of the organisations undertaking this work, such as the Royal Opera House’s Thurrock operation and Sage Gateshead, will also take the lead – along with Youth Music – in implementing the recommendations in the Henley Review on music and young people. These funds were open to application and the Bridge Delivery Organisation that has been offered the funding for the East Midlands is The Mighty Creatives who have been offered funding as follows: 2012/13 £900,000 2013/14 £923,220 2014/15 £947,408 For the full spreadsheet go to http://www.empaf.com/resource/43?set=sets%2F3 Modified once, last modified by EMPAF on Wed 6th April, 2011 @ 10:48am | |
