EMPAF is saddened to see that because of a lack of resources and a difficult economy, Community Arts Network have had to shut down their invaluable website!
With support from the Open Folklore project, a joint effort of the Indiana University Libraries and the American Folklore Society, the site, as it existed at the beginning of September 2010, has been preserved in an archive, which can be found at
http://wayback.archive-it.org/2077/20100906194747/http:/www.communityarts.net/
CAN has plans to seek funding to develop a sophisticated library/archive of the existing CAN materials for the benefit of people interested in community-based arts.
EMPAF would strongly encourage you to make the most of the existing materials and to follow CAN on Facebook at
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Community-Arts-Network/138591502832886.
where you can also click “like” and write about CAN’s value to you and your work to show your support for their search for archive resources.
