Nottinghamshire County Council's Rufford Creative School Programme brings teachers, educators and artists the opportunity to attend a Creative Learning Styles Workshop with Augusta Steel

Saturday 6th March

Cost £40 (NCC Cultural Services Arts subsidised rate)

Are you interested in how others view the world and being able to tap into this to develop a child’s understanding?

Come to this workshop and find out how others view the world. It may help you press the buttons of all the learners you teach.

Augusta, a leading practitioner in creative teaching and learning, will explore a number of models of thinking and practice designed to help us understand different ways that learners engage with the world, and different ways that we can engage with ALL of our learners.

The day will explore:

· Learning styles and multiple intelligences

· The brain - what do we know about it?

· Brain gym activities – how to use simple movements to integrate the whole brain, senses and body, preparing learners with the physical skills they need to learn effectively

· Exercises showing how we can shake up dry areas of the curriculum and connect learning with children’s values

· 2 case study projects - Developing a Creative Curriculum, an exemplary project exploring a school’s journey in shaping the curriculum to meet the needs of its pupils; and Museums Uniting with Schools in Education, exploring FIVE entry points into seeing the way we view the world

This training will aim to increase your understanding about how others view the world, and how you can creatively press the buttons of ALL the learners you teach…
