Charnwood Arts is now planning its annual Heart of 3 Cities Festival which will take place over May and June throughout the Borough of Charnwood.

The Festival aims to bring together all of the arts and cultural events which take place in the Borough and to engage not only artists, companies and groups but also the diverse communities. The Festival also promotes the Borough and all its other attractions and places of interest such as the Great Central Railway, Bradgate Park, the Charnwood Museum and so on.

We will soon be producing our Festival brochure which includes details of all events taking place over that period. We hope to distribute 6,000
throughout Charnwood and beyond so it's a great way to promote any events you're planning! If you have anything you would like to be included please
contact Catherine at catherineg@charnwood-arts.org.uk or on 01509 268010.

Please forward this information to anyone you feel would be interested. Many thanks!

CHILDREN IN NEED

Hi Catherine, we met at the recent Empaf meeting near nottingham, really interested in getting involved with Charnwood arts, Soft Touch and etc. In November i'm planning an event for Children In Need!

I am in talks with Leicester City Council & The Curve to create a 'Large Art Attack' for Children In Need, this will involve lots of schools coming down and joining in the event!

My idea is to create the largest Pudsey Bear in the world out of thousands of smaller Pudsey Bears, all proceeds will goto 'Children In Need' BBC East Midlands Today are extremely interested and BBC Radio Leicester, this could be a great showcase for many individuals/organizations working in the 'arts' to highlight there talents.

Who Would Be Interested ?

End Notes:

Other projects i'm trying to get going working with the communities & schools is linking the arts with the Olympics & The World Cup, I have interest from several schools but I need help with access to funding opportunities can you help or does anyone on this forum know anyone else who I could approach? 'Its all about networking as this project will require many art forms to make a success"

Hi Dean. Thanks for replying. Unfortunately November is outside of our festival period. Hopefully some other empaffers will be interested in working with you. Btw, I have passed your details on to Kev, our Manager. He does think he's met you somewhere before.

Hi Catherine,

Thanks for the Reply. Yes I can't do a project like Children In Need alone and I would need help this event becoming a success! Who would like to assist me help CHILDREN IN NEED?

Kev might of heard of me through Hayley Fern, I'm positive we have never met. I do need help making my projects come to fruition and its people like Kev from Charwood Arts & Vince from Soft Touch who could help make these become a realty.

I would like to do a presentation to you all as I need your experience and knowledge regarding community events as lots of my ideas will require lots of individuals/organizations working together.

Maybe I Could Do A Presentation At A Forthcoming Empaf Networking Event? Who Would Like To See My Ideas?
