Arts programme 2010 - The Baring Foundation The Arts programme 2010 is now open. This year the Baring Foundation is introducing a new theme for this programme: organisational development funding for arts organisations in the UK already producing and presenting arts made by older people. Click here to see the funding guidelines. There is a good report / publication 'Aging Artfully' http://www.baringfoundation.org.uk/AgeingArtfully.pdf which includes the research, findings and case studies of work. Newark and Sherwood's Visible programme is mentioned as is First Taste alongside the work of High Peak Community Arts, Dance 4, Lincolnshire Dance and Charnwood Arts. Other useful resources and reports can be found here: http://www.baringfoundation.org.uk/publications.htm

Working with the more mature in arts is something I would very much like to get into as a freelance creative practitioner. I have worked with young people, but always feel that the older generation get a poor deal. Is it possible for me to apply for a grant to get started on an arts project with the more mature, or do I have to be an organisation already working in the field?

Kind regards
