I work for Blaby District Council and I am jointly organising a performing arts concert with Oadby & Wigston Borough Council on April 22nd 2010 at South Wigston High School. The event is intended to showcase and celebrate the many and varied talents of the youngsters in our communities with the focus on the arts.
We’re in the initial stages of approaching local arts organisations to ask if they’d like to participate in the evening. We want to try to secure ‘acts’ to take part from as broad a range of ‘artists’ as possible to ensure the event is representational of the vast array of arts available these days.
