Welcome to the EMPAF (East Midlands Participatory Arts Forum) website. The site will be undergoing many changes over the next couple of months and we hope you will continue to visit regularly.
As well as developing the site as a vital resource for anyone interested in, studying or working in participatory and community arts, we will also be using it to promote other resources, development and networking events and opportunities.
Of course we will still be looking for your input and continue to welcome your posts and discussions. Information on how to get even more involved will be available very soon.

EMPAF is collaborating with with Mailout, the national magazine featuring and celebrating all aspects of participatory and community arts, to put together a national conference this autumn. A unique opportunity for networking, discussion and debate the conference will take place on 18th and 19th September in Derby. More details will be posted here soon, so please bookmark your diary now.
ENYAN (English National Youth Arts Network) is working in partnership with EMPAF to deliver an East Midlands regional seminar on 27th June 2008 at The Y Theatre in Leicester on the subject of 'Target Led Vs Young People Led'.
Weighing-up the benefits and challenges of planning and delivering youth arts projects this free event includes an open space debate under the heading 'Who's voice is it anyway' led by EMPAF Partnership members Tina Glover and Vince Attwood. Follow the link to the ENYAN website for more details.
EMPAF is to be supported by the work of Jane Millum, a full time coordinator whose role will include organising and facilitating events and opportunities and enabling the further development of the East Midlands Participatory Arts Forum Network.
