Originally a trained ceramicist, textile screen printer and has been cutting and painting stencils and stencil graffiti for 6 years. With a degree in 3D craft art from Nottingham Trent Uni, Boysie’s passion for art & design soon encompassed learning the art of graffiti. Combined with a wide knowledge and taste in music of all genres, he was taught how to Dj and produce music, allowing him to set up a small sound system and begin playing at local parties and club nights in and around Nottingham.
He started work for SEND in 2007 helping to do graffiti workshops with Optimus Rhyme at the Hermitage centre and Oliver Hind in Sneinton, as well as an assistant teacher for Winston delivering music technology sessions at a local P.R.U. in 2008.
Since then he has become an essential member of the SEND team as our Creative Arts Director, helping with graphic design, web work and helping to fully run the SEND Music studio at the Greenway Centre. He is an integral part of SEND with Mykee as our art & design teachers and workshop providers for short and long courses under AQA and the Arts award. This year they hope to finish writing their own course in the art & design of graffiti skills, to be accredited by NOCN.
He is CRB checked and has taken training in Child Protection, First aid, Youth participation and is a trained Arts Award adviser, and will constantly be accessing more training and qualifications.
