Socially engaged artist working in felt, paper, cardboard, wire and textiles. Initiator of Lincs Artist Forum an artist led group with over 260 members. LAF took the artist lead for South Holland and Boston's successful Arts Council Creative People and Places bid.
Artist/collaborator for 'Art on the High Street' which delivers socially engaged Pop Up projects and creative interventions outside the gallery space.
Current projects:
'Synergy Lincs' is an artist collaboration between myself and Ernie Butler. We will challenge our studio practice and deliver participatory workshops for the elderly and those with long term ill health; all creating work for an exhibition at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum. Project supported by public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England www.artscouncil.org.uk
I secured funding for and coordinated an artist CPD event led by Arts 4 Dementia. 6 arts sessions have now been programmed for those with early stage dementia and their carers at Unique Cottage Studios in Spalding. The 'Making for Memory' sessions will be led by professional artists who attended the training day. Events supported by funding from South Holland Ward Councillors.
