Growing Bolder have teamed up with County Youth Arts for a week long project bringing together the two age groups they work with; 14 to 18 year olds and ages 60+.

Read the Write Act is a play-in-a-week intergenerational project working with published writer Mike Wilson and theatre director Becky Matter to inspire a group of teens and sixty something’s in Mansfield to write and develop their own monologues and duologues, comedy sketches and short scripts for each other to perform at the end of the week. To facilitate the exchanging of culture and language, breaking down stereotypes of how people of all ages are perceived; the group will then perform a script-in-hand performance of their pieces written for them by the other age group, and share with the audience their experiences of the week.
