EMPAF Participatory and Community Arts Survey - Northamptonshire
Sat 1st May, 2010 by Northamptonshire
Participatory and Community Arts Survey for Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire
If you are involved in any kind of creative activity that enables people to create their own artwork/performance please help us to get a truly widespread picture of the work that is taking place in your area.
EMPAF (the East Midlands Participatory Arts Forum) was set up to support, develop and advocate for participatory and community arts in the East Midlands. We are distributing this survey to help gather information on participatory and community arts activity in Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.
We want to build up a fuller picture of the different ways of working and activities that are taking place. We also want to find about the successes, benefits and/or challenges that are important to people who are making it happen.
Findings from this survey together with a series of in-depth case studies, comments made on the EMPAF website and issues brought up during a series of free networking events will be presented by EMPAF to the Arts Council England. We will also make the information available via the website and to other key partners around the East Midlands.

ABOUT THE FORM
The survey form below is split into 3 parts:
- Questions about the participatory / community arts you are involved with (for example music sessions with young people, drop in visual arts and printing sessions or a drama project with older people etc).
- Questions are about where you get help (financial or otherwise) to run the participatory / community arts you are involved with
- A few questions about you, your work/ who you work for
We’ve tried to keep most questions ‘open ended’ to allow you to answer them in the way you want to. Some questions however, require tick box answers because we want to get some very specific information.
We are trying to build up a picture of what is happening in your area; and who is doing what in order to guide decisions about any resources that can help this area of work.
We will share these details (including all contact except telephone) with Arts Council England so just leave anything blank you don’t want to share.
The important thing for us is that we get completed survey forms so please use this opportunity to have your say!
