This course is designed to help artists improve their facilitation work with young people in schools and is run in partnership with Castle College. It is facilitated by education consultant Claire Grosvenor and includes:

How to work as an artist effectively in schools - awareness of the curriculum, awareness of the needs of the school, presentation skills
Understanding school structures and frameworks
Effective lesson planning and project development
Behaviour management and motivating young people
Child protection policy
Session planning/teaching and devising project work
Practical workshop sessions
Course begins: 13th October - 15th December (10 week programme - 30 hrs)
Cost: £60
