Seeking proposals for EMPAF's World Event Young Artist event

Wed 20th June, 2012 by EMPAF.com

EMPAF has been commissioned by City Arts to devise and deliver a one-day event during the World Event Young Artist (WEYA) Festival 2012.

Entitled The Unselfish Artist, the event will take place in various spaces (foyers and break-out rooms) at Nottingham’s Royal Centre. With a focus on artists’ development and aiming to engage the young international artists in discussion around working with communities and participatory arts, the event will incorporate workshops, activities, presentations and discussions.

All activities will be developed to encourage debate and discussion primarily through participation and will incorporate aspects of an agreed framework in order to include issues of Context, Inclusion and Community.

The programme will be organised from a starting point of three art forms: Music, Visual Arts and Writing and will include market place style areas under the title of Creative Exchange.

We are seeking ideas and proposals for involvement in the event and have uploaded background information and a brief document to give further details including submission guidelines in the resources section of this website (here)

The deadline is 16th July.
