The Unselfish Artist : EMPAF at WEYA 13th September. Programme

WEYA 2012 is all set to showcase a selection of the best creative talent from across the globe by bringing 1,000 artists aged 18 to 30 together in one city, Nottingham. For this EMPAF have been specially commissioned to coordinate a free event and the full programme is available right HERE right now!!

This one off event, entitled “The Unselfish Artist: Celebrating the art of participation” takes place at the Nottingham Royal Centre on Thursday 13th September from 11:00 to 16:00. It's a great opportunity for you to join us and share and extend practice through a day of creative exchange celebrating participation in the arts and the unique nature of artists working with individuals and communities.

Incorporating a wide range of art forms, the day brings together some of the East Midlands leading participatory arts organisations and artists for workshops, activities, performances, exhibitions and discussions.

It starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm with activities taking place throughout the day. So come along and meet some new people, you can dip in and out or stay all day and it’s all for free!
