Arletty Theatre

Boundary-breaking theatre to engage new audiences, and include them in our work in interesting and original ways. We often choose to work in unusual spaces to reach people who might not visit traditional theatres. Currently we are touring Stinxville, a promenade pantomime encouraging mayhem and chaos. We are also in the process of devising Patchwork Lives, a new piece, initially commissioned by Hatch: Mass, collecting the stories of women who've inspired the people of Nottinghamshire, and sewing them in to a patchwork quilt with the help of our audience. This is about crafting, storytelling and passing on memories of great women who might otherwise be overlooked. TiG, a Nottingham play told around Antigone is in development, and we are working with the Carers Federation to develop PlayStory workshops for young carers around local sites of interest.
