Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra

Founded in 1974 as Nottingham Sinfonietta, the orchestra changed its name in 1985 to Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra when it grew in size!  It is acclaimed as one of the leading non-professional orchestras in the country and performs a wide range of orchestral music from the traditional classical repertoire to modern works, including music by composers around the world.  The season includes at least four concerts in both Nottingham venues and Southwell Minster and we offer a range of ticket prices (including only £5 for children and students) so that all concerts are accessible.   We occasionally work with choirs and youth groups from the area.
