Shooting Fish Theatre Company

Information

Shooting Fish Theatre Company was formed in 2002 to bring new writing and performance talent together across the Lincolnshire region. The company soon spread its wings to cover the Yorkshire and Humber area and has since made it’s name on a national touring platform as a successful new writing company. Currently working across both regions and based in Lincoln, Shooting Fish work with a wide range of groups and organisations to deliver high quality arts activities to a wide audience.

Working as both a professional production and new writing company, alongside a large body of education and project work, Shooting Fish take pride in the high quality and standard of their work, across their whole spectrum.

Since forming in 2002 they have toured two new writing productions on a national platform, produced four professional productions, managed the Arts Forum Festival for four successful years and delivered projects in dozens of schools, working with thousands of young people and other members of the community.

Since 2002 Shooting Fish have worked with a huge number of groups and individuals, using drama to encourage participation, offer a voice for change and empower young people to explore their potential. Drama in education and the community can be applied in a number of ways, and Shooting Fish pride themselves on the professionalism and innovation they bring when approaching old problems with new solutions. The work of Shooting Fish covers all ages and sectors of society, with an open and participatory approach favoured by all who work there. The team of practitioners are highly skilled and professionally active in their chosen medium, giving those who work with them access to highly experienced industry professionals.
