A CALL OUT FOR INSPIRATIONAL PARTICIPATORY ARTISTS!

People Express (www.people-express.org.uk) is on the hunt for a collection of individual artists or a company to deliver a £12,000 multi-art form project in South Derbyshire. 

Between March and July 2011, artists will work with a core group of 10 girls (9-14years) and their schools to produce exciting new work and/or performance, which will tour to schools, festivals and other events in the district!

The purpose of Aspirations project is to make the girls aware of the importance of leadership, risk-taking and dealing with change.  Taking these into consideration, what can you offer as an artist/company to channel their creativity into producing something exciting and wonderful?

The girls are interested in ALL art-forms; new, different and diverse, and enjoy using equipment and props! They have highlighted the following as essential qualities of their ideal artist leader:

• Have to be really inspirational and great at what they do

• Should be friendly and welcoming

• Be able to have a laugh and be fun

• Be able to give encouragement, support and praise

• Have to be great with kids and really, really cool!
