The D.Arts project is a young people’s drama workshop group based in the village of Diseworth and open to all young people aged 10-13 in the surrounding rural areas. The aim of the project is to devise and create original pieces of theatre with the young people under the leadership of professional theatre practitioners.

The objective is to stimulate the creative minds of young people through drama and to give the participants a safe environment in which to express themselves creatively. Through the use of drama games, improvisation and storytelling we devise and rehearse a new piece of theatre to be performed free of charge to family and friends.

Since the group began in 2007 our productions have included The Wisdom Tree, Around the World in Eighty Days, Grimm Tales, The Book of Doom, The Ghosts of Christmas, Arabian Nights, Bob and the Wasp, Pantomania!, The Canterbury Tales and Echo and Narcissus.
