In a link up between CYAN and Kala Kahani a series of workshops with South Asian young women at the YWCA Community Centre in Loughborough resulted in an exciting new look for the building.

The project involved making a variety of stencils which explored activities which take place in the centre and also celebrated the religious and cultural diversity of the life of the building.

The stencils were put together to frame the whole entrance to the building. Complentary mosaic panels were also made by the girls with the assistance of artists Lisa Denham, Jay Ryott and Rachel Nuttall.
