Salamanda Tandem and Isabel Jones are delighted to have been selected as the 4th partner on this exciting EU project alongside Norway, Estonia and Portugal called FRAGILE - an international project on the inclusion of visually impaired people in the performing arts.
FRAGILE aims at exchanging knowledge about dancing with blind/visually impaired persons, enhancing the integration of visually impaired persons in the performing arts through transnational collaboration, and raising awareness for the importance of movement for the visually impaired.
The project's first phase (::workshops::) is now over, and the second phase (::performances & Symposium::) will start in September 2012.

FRAGILE final event will be a Symposium at Tallinn University, Estonia, on 20th and 21th April 2013.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The symposium call for participatory experiences, inclusive presentations and exhibition material is now open.
We invite visually impaired people, teachers, artists, scientists, therapists, performers and researchers working in the specific field of dance, arts and visually impairment, to share their experience during the FRAGILE? Symposium in Tallinn. We welcome proposals that encourage debate, participation, provocation, celebration and development of the relationship between wellbeing, visually impaired people, arts and performance.
We have the following areas in mind; and we are open to more:
· Art: an inclusive aesthetic
· Training and Work: routes and barriers
· Wellbeing: Value and Appreciation
