Nottinghamshire County Council Arts Service has worked with trainer Pete Mosely, to offer a free training session to help groups get the most out of their marketing. Pete works for Craft & Design Magazine and runs his own consultancy working with a wide range of arts groups. This session will be a great opportunity for you to get some cost effective hints and tips.

The session will be repeated at three different venues so you can choose the time and place which suits you best.

Worksop Library

16th November, 10am – 3pm (with lunch break)

 

Beeston Library

19th November, 1.30pm – 6.00pm (with a break mid-afternoon)

 

Mansfield Library

23rd November, 10am – 3pm (with lunch break)

 

Session content:

The session will be a combination of presentations, participation, discussion and Q’s and A’s to ensure that everyone, irrespective of prior knowledge and experience can come away feeling that they have learned something they can put to good use straight away.

 

The sessions will contain the following key building blocks:

* Definitions and de-mystification of advertising, marketing and publicity.

* Thinking about your audience – who are they and where are they?

* Thinking about different tools and techniques

* Traditional vs. Online techniques

* An exploration of Social Media (particularly Facebook & Twitter)

* Building a relationship with your local press – sample press releases etc

* Creating a personal marketing ‘action plan’ checklist.
