Charnwood Arts were invited to run a workshop to create a large collaborative painting with people attending a weekend of positive health and development workshops at Loughborough's Shree Ram Krishna Centre.
The painting, over 14 feet high, followed a process exploring themes of peace, wthin ourselves and in the outside world through the imagery and growth cycle of a tree.
This is one of many patterns for more structured combined arts workshops to engage people in new activities which Charnwood Arts has developed over the years. Many such trees have been painted in the area with some workshops lasting over 12 hours!
Each aspect of the tree, seed, roots, trunk, branches, buds, leaves, flowers, fruit and seed again is explored for it's personal and revealed meaning.
The workshop was very creative and opened up some great connections between people and many new ideas.
