Rooted in Stone

Information

Richly illustrated with drawings and photographs, Rooted in Stone tells the story of Charnwood Arts' Artist in Residence Paul Gent's experiences working in the Karnenjak Refugee Camp in Southern Croatia in 1999.

The book is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit told with compassion and humour.

The project also produced an exhibition which has been shown in Leicestershire and Edinburgh.

Rooted in Stone is also featured as an e-book on the People Making Places CD-ROM.
