We have just received funding from A.C.E to begin work on developing a community play in Sutton-in-Ashfield to mark the two hundredth anniversary of the Luddite riots - in which Sutton played a key role.

At present we are researching the history of the events around the Luddites in Sutton, and are working to encourage participation in the project with the local community. At this stage our aim is to build up support, through dialogue and workshops, so that we can make a larger application to produce the show next year. Our aim is to bring the energy and chaos of the Luddite movement back onto the streets of Sutton-in-Ashfield through theatre, song and banners!
