Young people in the Soar Valley villages and south Loughborough took part in an innovative project on the theme of 'Identity', as part of our partnership with the 2nd RAW ARTS residency with Paul Gent at Rawlins Community College. From Autumn 2000, Paul worked in 13 schools to produce work for a massive community exhibition at Rawlins in June. Paul's work links closely with that of Terri Broughton, Head of Art at Rawlins, who has stimulated some remarkable work from her upper secondary students. Identity is also the theme of Rawlins' first film and video festival, held in June. The work was then exhibited with the assistance of a grant from Charnwood Borough Council from Friday 29th June across the Art department at Rawlins, then toured in the district.
