Recent Prints - Bhajan Exhibition (Apna Arts)
Date: Sept 2000 - Venue: Art Exchange Gallery
Bhajan’s recent prints on paper formed this exhibition and included individual prints mounted in a frame as well as repeated prints placed directly on the wall.
She creates work as an organic life-process, personally evolved symbols similar to Punjabi lettering that are arrived at through freedom and spontaneous personal insight and impulse. Her sensuous use of colour resonates with inner dynamics and her forms become oneness and a mandala. They reach a point where, as Cecil Collins used to say, “the space and the mind are in dialogue with grace.”
