EMPAF's WEYA Event Supporting Documents
EMPAF has been commissioned by City Arts to devise and deliver a one-day event during the World Event Young Artist Festival 2012. The event, entitled The Unselfish Artist takes place on 13th September 2012 in various spaces (foyers and break-out rooms) at Nottingham’s Royal Centre. With a focus on artists’ development and aiming to engage the young international artists in discussion around working with communities and participatory arts, the event will incorporate workshops, activities, presentations and discussions. EMPAF is seeking proposals for these activities etc and these documents provide background information and the brief. the deadline for submissions is 16th July 2012 and further details can be found in the brief.

The Business of Dreams - Participatory Arts Case Studies from the East Midlands
Since the beginning of 2010 EMPAF has been collating 'Stories' of the participatory arts in the East Midlands region. Under the title of "The Business of Dreams - Where Once There Were Dragons, Now There Are Day Jobs" these stories, together with a range of case studies due for publication in May 2012, form the start of what we hope will be an interesting, wide ranging and useful collection of articles.
